All welded stainless-steel frame with modular shelves accommodates numerous load sizes and configurations. Load retaining side gates and bearingmounted wheels are constructed of stainless steel. Easy-to-remove side gates fit into slots along frame of the loading car. Car wheels are flanged to fit on tracks in a sterilizer chamber.
Shelves
Shelf modules, supports, and side gates are constructed of stainless steel. Each section is welded, suitably reinforced, and designed to allow free passage of sterilant. Each shelf support pair accommodates five (66" [1676 mm] car) shelf modules, allowing for maximum flexibility of shelf placement. Modular shelves have flanged edges that securely rest on shelf supports. Each shelf and car has a maximum distributed load capacity as follows:
• 66" (1676 mm) car – 150 lbs (68 kg) per shelf, 450 lbs (204.1 kg)
To increase productivity, shelf modules can be removed from upper shelf supports allowing tall items to be placed on lower shelves. Shelf supports and side gates are adjustable to six heights. Three layers of shelf modules, one fixed (bottom) and two adjustable, are furnished as standard.Â
Transfer Carriage
A welded tubular steel frame with height-adjustable loading car tracks are provided on the top of the transfer carriage. The frame has a push bar handle and is supported by two fixed and two swivel casters with neoprene, non-marking, easy-rolling tires. A revolving neoprene protective bumper is installed above each wheel. A hand operated latch holds the carriage against the sterilizer or aerator door frame while the loading car is being placed into (or removed from) the chamber. While in position on the carriage, the loading car is secured with a spring loaded latch. Both latches are operated from the handle end of the carriage.
